Choosing to study abroad is an important decision for many people. However, the most common difficulty for Vietnamese students is limited English skills which prevent them from studying successfully and adapting to the new living and learning environment. To overcome this obstacle, many students choose to attend VUS’s Study Abroad program.

The course is specially designed for students who want to improve their English skills in the shortest possible time to prepare for undergraduate programs in foreign countries. After only 18 months, students will be equipped with English knowledge and skills to succeed in both the TOEFL iBT and the new learning environment abroad.

With VUS’s Study Abroad program, students will be confident with not only their English skills but also their general understanding and preparation to study and live in foreign countries.

• Dates: Monday to Friday
• Time: 8:00am – 12:00noon

Tuition fees

• SA 1:                              11.798.000VND (605 USD) / class / 9 weeks
• SA 2:                              12.773.000VND (655 USD) / class / 9 weeks
• TOEFL iBT preparation:           9.555.000VND (490 USD) / class / 6 weeks

Placement Test

• Students need to sit for placement tests in all four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) before accepted to the course.
• Students will be enrolled in the right level based on placement test results.

Certificates

• After finishing SA1 and SA2, students will take the TOEFL test.
• Students finishing the Study Abroad program will receive certificates signed by VUS and CSI/CUNY (US). In addition, students will have a TOEFL score report eligible to apply for most of the universities in the world.

Requirements for students

• Students must be at an intermediate level to enter the Study Abroad program. If they do not meet this requirement, they must take the 18-month Superior Program.
• Students who are absent for more than 30% of class time will not be allowed to take the final exam.
• Tuition fees are non-refundable. In special cases, VUS will approve for tuition fees to be transferred to later courses within three months.
• All students must comply to class regulations.

Class transfer

• Class transfer request is only accepted in the first week of the course and is decided by the Student Recruitment Office. VUS will only give priority to students who really have difficulty in arranging time to attend the course.
